CDW
completed over 40 environmental audits of state agency facilities under the
Clean States Initiative. CDW conducted site visits to evaluate each
facility’s use, storage, and generation procedures, recordkeeping, and
pollution prevention. CDW interviewed facility supervisors and other
knowledgeable personnel on-site, and performed a walk-through of the entire
facility. Audits focused on compliance matters relating to oil and hazardous
materials, including air quality, floor drains, waste oil generation,
underground storage tanks, above ground storage tanks, drum storage, spill
prevention plans, water supply wells, asbestos, lead-based paint, septic
systems, and permitting. The compliance audits also identified regulatory
deadlines for mitigation measures. The audits were completed under an
aggressive time schedule. |
