Town of Acton, Watershed Protection Project, Acton, MA

CDW was retained to provide data generation and management services for a GIS water supply protection project for the Town of Acton.  CDW designed a database of existing site uses for inclusion in the GIS for the project area.  Data including threatening land uses, hazardous waste disposal sites, RCRA generators, and oil and hazardous material spills were obtained within the DEP Zone II boundaries of Acton’s municipal drinking water wells.   CDW also supported the completion of a Comprehensive Water Resources Management Plan, through geological surveys, stormwater outfall sampling, and an evaluation of wastewater flow projections. CDW prepared an Environmental Notification Form under MEPA requirements and assisted with public hearings on the findings of the Plan.
