Hazardous Materials Assessments, Pre-Renovation Projects

CDW has extensive experience conducting pre-renovation assessments for the presence of oil, hazardous materials, asbestos containing materials, and lead based paint. After a thorough investigation and review of building plans, CDW performs comprehensive pre-renovation testing of building materials, and then uses the results of the testing to develop construction documents including engineering specifications for handling and abatement of the hazardous substances present, for incorporation into contract bid packages. Construction services provided included project monitoring, clearance sampling, and additional testing of hidden hazardous substances encountered during construction and advising client and contractors how to appropriately handle and dispose of the substances. These projects are time-critical and require thorough and complete bid documents as well as responsiveness to construction issues. A sampling of recent or current projects is as follows:
