CDW performed site observations during the removal of three 20,000 gallon underground fuel oil tanks (USTs) at the Site. CDW supervised the removal of separate phase fuel oil from the tank grave, and initiated Immediate Response Actions including soil excavation and stockpiling.  Additional assessment surrounding the UST indicated the need for additional response actions. CDW installed a product recovery system as an Immediate Response Action and pilot project. Phase I, II and III site investigations were completed to comply with DEP MCP requirements. Additional larger recovery wells and product recovery systems were subsequently installed in the source area to expedite product recovery. CDW recommended to continue remediation efforts after product recovery as a short term Release Abatement Measure consisting of bioremediation to reduce the apparently isolated plume of fuel oil.
