Yee Cho, PE, LSP has been appointed to moderate the Geothermal Energy Technical Session of the American Society of Civil Engineers, EWRI 2011 World Congress in Palm Springs, CA.  Yee will also present an article entitled, “ Geothermal Energy:  Sustainability, Climate Change and State of the Practice in the United States,” in which Kathleen Campbell, PE, LSP, LEED AP and Susan Cahalan, PG are also co-authors.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has selected The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts to receive its prestigious National Preservation Honor Award for outstanding excellence in historic preservation.  The ONLY recipient in Massachusetts, the Hanover Theatre is being nationally recognized as one of the best successes in preserving, rehabilitating, and interpreting our country's architectural and cultural heritage.  CDW was the Hazardous Materials consultant to identify, manage and abate hazardous building materials and containerized wastes prior to the full building renovation.

CDW Consultants were the featured presenters of the Geothermal Energy Technical Session at the 2010 World Congress of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Environmental & Water Resources Institute held in Providence, Rhode Island in May.  Yee Cho, PE, LSP moderated the Session, and presented an article entitled, “Independence from Fossil Fuel Usages in Northeastern United States.”  Susan Cahalan-Roach, PG  presented an article entitled, “Hydrogeologic, Geologic and Sustainable Challenges and Interpretations for the Installation of a Geothermal Well.”

Kathleen Campbell, PE, LSP, LEED AP and Jack Goodhall, PE are co-authors of articles entitled, “Borehole Geophysics and the Interpretation of Subsurface Conditions Contributing to the Design of a Sustainable Geothermal Well” and “Thermal Measurement, Analysis & Interpretation of a Standing Column Well,” respectively, aspects of which were presented at this ASCE World Congress.
