CDW performed environmental services to support the watershed analysis for the town of Lunenburg’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP). We compiled a bibliography of relevant files, reports, and initiatives that affect Lunenburg’s watershed basin, and identified relevant portions of those information sources that could impact Lunenburg’s CWMP. Our team met with appropriate town commissions to develop an understanding of the town’s current and future anticipated development trends, conservation/open space efforts, and wetland bylaws. A base map overlay using local and MassGIS sources was prepared to locate conservation land within the town. CDW performed a water balance analysis using data collected previously, including groundwater, surface water, stormwater, on-site wastewater disposal, interbasin transfers, and well withdrawals, and developed an evaluation of existing water balance efforts.
