CDW is a subconsultant for the UMass Amherst Substation Project. Due to the continuing growth of the campus, the University recognized the need for additional power and is constructing a new 13.8 kV substation to serve the campus. The new substation will provide UMass with more power and increased capacity to meet future needs.

CDW provided design services for the construction of the substation site and duct bank, and is providing construction administration services during the construction phase. The work includes site development, site design for the electrical substation, and plan and profile designs for the concrete encased electrical duct bank from the new substation site to the East Electrical Substation.
